The Haywire Project
Mission Statement
The goal of the Haywire Project is to create the high level 1-Wire API that will allow to use the 1-Wire devices without requiring the API users to concern themselves with the low-level implementation and network layout details.
Brief History
The project definition requirements were crystallized during the development of the DIY Zoning project. It has become clear that though the existing 1-Wire API for Java allows controlling the 1-Wire network, it provides just one of possible abstractions, and the level of it may be a little bit too low for some applications.
